Rain Dancer

I am overwhelmed by God's grace and mercy as I read Lynn's blog this morning about how she had such a bad reaction to her chemo drug.  God, in His mercy, graciously kept her in His loving care and kept her safe.

As some of you know, I am a great one for having God's Word and other words of wisdom on plaques and signs throughout my home.  One that has become a favorite reads...

"Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in  the rain."

No one knows how long we have on this earth. We're all going to die, and God has already established our days. It's not our death that's important but rather how we live this life He's given us.

We've had many good times and really hard times. Right now is one of those hard times. And I've determined to make it a great time to be alive for Jesus. I remember a message I heard many years ago, and I remember the words spoken..

"Don't be overcome but be an overcomer."

In Christ, I can do all things. He makes all things possible. So if anyone is looking for me...

       ...I'm dancing in the rain.

For all my friends who are reading this blog, some encouragement in the Lord...a song for you.

  1. Gloria, Thanks for the beautiful testimony! You are right where you need to be right now in God's plan, and He is using you to bring Him glory. Your life is not just in limbo. I would not have chosen the last many months of my life either fighting breast cancer, but I am convinced the Lord knew what He was doing. Keep praising Him "in the rain" as difficult as that can be. I think that was one thing that I learned. The Lord wants our praise in the middle of trouble and not after we are healed. God bless you. My prayers are with you.
